Working Group 3 of the GDR DUPHY focuses on detector technologies for deep underground physics, with an emphasis on the design, development, and characterization of detectors for rare-event searches and low-background experiments. The group addresses common challenges across experiments, including the understanding and mitigation of background sources, material radiopurity, and detector calibration, and provides a forum for discussing advances in readout techniques and signal processing methods. By fostering exchanges between different communities, it aims to build synergies, share best practices, and promote the development of innovative detection technologies. WP3 will also seek to foster interactions with the GDR DI2I (Détecteurs et Instrumentation pour les Deux Infinis).
