Presentation
The installation in a deep underground laboratory, combined with the reduction or even elimination of radioactivity in detector materials, ensures the ultra-low background environment essential for studying extremely rare phenomena. However, it remains crucial to accurately predict residual background noise after selection cuts, validate these estimates using experimental data, and extract signals or limits using robust simulation methods and statistical analyses. The mission of WP4 is to conduct a survey of the computational tools, simulations, and analysis methodologies used in experiments related to the GDR DUPhy, to encourage the comparison and evaluation of simulation tools and will expand its actions to promote the exchange of expertise in statistical methods and machine learning techniques. WP4 covers as well microphysics on detecting media.
